Shopify shut down

I guess this is what I get for not checking my email as often as I should be.

I was notified one of my designs was flagged for copyright infringement. But it was for a design that literally only had text and it was for a “Bubblegum Wall” inspired product. The Bubblegum Wall isn’t something that’s “officially” Disney either. It’s something park fans made up. So I’m seriously confused at how I it went against copyright.

It doesn’t even have anything related to the actual Bubblegum Wall in the parks.

But they gave me a certain number of days to take it down and I was too late checking my email so I missed the window to be able to take it down. Because of this my Shopify shop was shut down and now wiped from their database. I can’t even log in.

This is super upsetting, even though my Shopify wasn’t the main source of my sales, but it was still MY shop. Plus it’s on all my thank you cards so now I’ll have to go and change/edit that.

I’ve decided not to reopen the Shopify shop until I feel the need to open up another one. Thankfully I don’t exactly NEED my Shopify in order to make my shirts and beanies. I was worried I’d lose that feature as well.

Now I just have to figure out how to make this work.

But it is such an odd thing to happen to my shop. Like why this particular product?

The world may never know.
