It’s officially my BFF Audrey’s birthday week! And in honor of her birthday, I decided to make a sticker sheet with something she’s passionate about: conservation and living a more eco friendly life.
I had this project in mind before I even launched my store, I just needed her to pick a topic ^_^.
You can find this sticker sheet here on my Etsy shop.
Proceeds of every purchase of this sticker sheet will be going to Green Peace.
I tried to make it more meaningful by adding sea creatures known in the San Francisco Bay (crabs) and in the Philippine oceans (Lionfish). I’m extremely happy with how these turned out! And admit it or not, I def have a drawing style lol!
I’m glad Audrey liked them as well, I was super scared she’d hate them lol.
Just a bit about our friendship because I don’t really talk about it but it is something that is very important in my life.
We met in high school, freshman year. We had band and math together and I remember hearing she was from Texas so I asked her “so did you have like horses and those cowboy hats and stuff?” and I remember the look she gave me and was like “uh no”. She wasn’t exactly the most friendly person and I get that. She was a military brat and had just moved to CA not knowing anyone here.
Versus I was raised here and I knew a pretty good amount of people because I grew up with them.
I don’t exactly remember HOW we became friends, but I’m sure my awkward sarcastic-ness had something to do with it. Maybe. Either way, we became really close friends really fast. We would cut out and get lunch together. Get in trouble together. Do dumb shit together. Got our asses beat by our parents together. Only to grow up and realize that our moms work together and her brother also worked with my mom. So, you know, we’re practically family. And I mean worked with FOR YEARS. Oh and then I worked with her sister for awhile at Linens N Things. So yeah. Totally pretty much family.
And over the years we’ve gotten mad at each other. Had fall outs. And got over them. We’re really good at long distance friendship so whoever says “we’re not friends cause of distance” is a liar. She’s literally been in completely different countries and we’ve been able to keep in touch. And now in our current lives I’m in Texas while she’s still in CA and our friendship works just fine despite the time differences and her insane work schedule as well as the fact that I’m a full time mom and business owner. But hey, we make it work.
We’ve been through a lot in the last 22 years as best friends and despite that sometimes we don’t agree on the same social issues, I love my BFF so freakin much.
Happy Birthday week bitch. I miss your face already, let’s go to Disney soon k? I hope you have the most amazing and relaxing birthday week possible.
Tums & I love you.
