I constantly think of what to write here. Which is crazy, as someone who’s blogged pretty much since the internet took off you’d think this would be cake for me.
Authors struggle to finish series or start new books and bloggers often struggle to come up with new content idea’s. I’m trying to find the fine line of worry and burnout.
Fall is coming.
And it seems everyone else on Etsy have already moved on to releasing their freakin holiday stuff. And I’m still sitting here working on the sameeee Fall sticker sheet from the beginning of the month.
On the upside, however, I did manage to sort of successfully make a sticker sheet yesterday! It didn’t turn out to be any of the ones I had drafted/worked on. It was a random one I decided to just put together.
I really love how the bomb and Goomba turned out! And the mushroom. For someone who can’t draw, these don’t suck. Basic shapes ftw lol. I did make a matte, glossy and holographic version of these. The holographic being the epic fail of the group — I didn’t consider that I also had to cut through the overlay to kiss cut it so it’s a struggle to get off the page.
Welp, there goes my first sticker sheet oopsie pile. I’ll be listing these… before next week. Hopefully. I’m also debating on making bigger solo versions. Esp of the mush and Goomba. I also want to make a few of my favorite Mario monsters; it came out pretty good for a small 3×3 sheet and I managed to fit 6 on a page, so yay. Win!
I did wake up this morning to another order, and also the ridic fees people have mentioned when it comes to Etsy… the fees pretty much took all but $8 of my revenue this week. That’s… upsetting. But you live and learn and this whole thing is a new playing field for me.
So starting today sticker only orders will be mailed in a regular USPS letter envelope with no tracking but you’re able to add it on if you’d like. I just wanted to be able to package them in a cute way and I couldn’t figure out how to without sending it in a bubble mailer…. which would require shipping costs.
LEARNING PROCESS, right?
